People who have become successful, have spent a lot of time becoming people of value.
As Jim Rohn put it,
Work harder on yourself, than you do on your job
When we work hard to build our value, and bring that value to benefit other people, there is inherent satisfaction in that. Success can follow, but it is often lagging far behind investing in our value.
Many entrepreneurs and musicians describe a similar experience:
It took me 10 years to become an overnight sensation
So following our curiousity about the things we uniquely can bring, and working very hard on increasing our offering and value to people, can eventually lead to success.
Working on becoming more valuable will ALWAYS lead to satisfaction.
